Hi guys, any idea why my games are so slow after upgrading from a 10 year old GT 8800 to a new GTX 1050Ti SC? For example, i was able to play Sniper Elite 1, 2 & 3 on high/ultra with the old card, now frame rates drop so low its unplayable in some areas of the games with settings only on high. prior to install i removed old drivers with the ddu (?) driver cleaner. Anything else i should be doing? Below are my hardware specs, which i wouldnt think would matter since the old card seemed to be faster with all the same hardware.

Hi guys, thanks. Yes, i used DDU. i havent used Afterburner, i will give that a try. Im wondering if there are any new features auto enabled in the graphics setting of this card that werent on the old card.

Did you uninstall and reinstall the video drivers? The install process tweaks a bunch of settings depending on the model of video card to best take advantage of the hardware specific to that model. You can't simply pop in a new card and leave the old drivers just because both are Nvidia cards and Nvidia has unified drivers.

Still struggling with this... especially in the Sniper Elite games. When i am in an area with walls it is especially slow. Oddly, i can now play Wolfenstein: New Order on high. I used the DDU to remove drivers, reinstalled, i removed nvidia Experience too. Only thing left is to uninstall my games. The GT 8800 was so much faster.
