Hi

The following question is probably best answered by people who have a little experience with mounting one of the newer GPUs in a small form factor case, in this particular situation it regards the Node 202 from Fractal design.
I've done my fair share of research on the subject and come to the fairly obvious conclusion that no matter which GPU of the 1060 3GB, the RX 470 4GB or the RX 480 4GB I would decide on, I'd be getting pretty damn good performance in any current game at 1080p resolution with the 480 and 1060 even having a slight edge over the 470. Now here's the part online research alone cant answer all my questions:
The AMD cards get a fair amount warmer than the 1060 which is why I'd directly grab myself a 1060 in a perfect world seeing as i'm looking at an HTPC environment, but the AMD cards are currently priced much more competitively than the Nvidia cards.

SO, finally the question I've been leading up to - IF I installed 2 fans directly above the GPU (people who know a Node 202, know how that layout would look), could my case handle a 470 or 480 in it without the GPU reaching ridiculous temps of about 80°C (I realise the cards r manufactured to function at even higher temps comfortably but 80°C is my personal max preference)? With both the 470 and 480 I'm looking at Sapphire cards...

Solution
80C is not ridiculous temp, GPU temperature depends on air flow in whole case and also from fans mounted directly on it so i cant precisly tell you if you will get 5c 10c or 15c lower temp. Its always good to have those fans to blow hot air out of the case. You also need to remember that graphic cards are designed to work at higher temps. RX 480 temp target is ~80C and maximum temp is ~90C.
