Hey guys,

I am looking at getting the following system:

HP Pavilion Desktop - 560-p015hvr

http://store.hp.com/us/en/PDPStdView?catalogId=10051&urlLangId=-1&langId=-1&productId=1501157&storeId=10151

I am going to use this as a basic gaming system, and i wanted to know what you guys think about it. It says $750, but i am using a coupon to get $150 off, bringing the price down to 600 (642 after tax for me). I know the power supply looks a bit weak (300w) and i am not sure what variant of the RX480 (4GB or 8GB) is in it. I tried putting together the same thing on amazon and i come up to about 50 dollars more. But this does include a Windows 10 install. Do you guys think i should go for this or build my own.

Ditto from me.

If your not up to building your own, get one custom-built to your specifications (members here can help you with choosing the components).

Building your own is a valuable learning experience, and you'll have "bragging rights" and personal satisfaction of your achievement when it's up and running!

Buy a factory-built one and you'll come up against problems when you want/need to upgrade something.
