The specifications for the M3 state supported RAM is ECC and unbuffered. Most RAM is non ECC, including the RAM i bought.
I can't find it now but I had a list of RAM compatible with the motherboard from MSI. And the RAM i bought is not listed, yet the manufacturer of the RAM says it is compatible!

This is conflicting information but I need a straight answer becaus I can return the RAM if its unused therefored I can't test it so I have to know beforehand otherwise I can't swap my RAM for a different one
