Replacing the motherboard inside speakers

Hello, I have a set of desktop speakers, I attempted to upgrade the speakers, and ended up killing the board. The speakers are quite expensive for me, about $100-$180...
Here's some pictures, http://imgur.com/a/cCFGq

The actual speakers work fine I just blew the board. Is there a replacement board for this? I couldn't fine one that has the 3 knobs (bass, treble, and volume). And the back of the speaker looks like this (not the same model speaker as mine but that's exactly what it looks like),

Solution
Where did you get that idea? Messing with the amplifier on a powered set of speakers is generally a bad idea, they are usually simple, and weak.

Anyway try creative, but most likely they are gonna tell you to toss them.

The speakers you show are Creative T30 ireless speakers, which are not physically connected to the computer. What makes you think that you "blew the board"? If you in fact destroyed the sound portion of the motherboard, the most cost effective response is almost always to replace the motherboard. Which motherboard do you have?

I have the speakers that I posted in the first imgur link, I couldn't find a picture of the back of them, and since I'm not home, I found a picture that's similar to the ones I have.

Ok, well...I was trying to add a second speaker to the board, and the audio wire that was attached to the speaker I was adding touched the board and the board started to smoke

Rather then upgrade them, I was attempting to add a second speaker to the board, and accidentally touched the board with the wire in the wrong spot and the board started to smoke.

Alright...yea I was just experimenting and screwed up. I'll contact them later, and if that doesn't work, I'll just take the actual speakers out of the frame and find a way to re purpose them. Maybe replace the speakers in my xrocker since they are the same size and since the speakers are blown out on my xrocker.

So what speakers (make/model) are you attempting to use? At a minimum they need to be self-powered in order to connect directly to your motherboard. The point is that if you replace your motherboard, and try to hook up the wrong type of speakers, the new motherboard will likely fry as well.

He didn't damage his PC motherboard, he is talking about the amplifier board inside the speaker.

Because you are asking the same exact question again, we merge those types of treads here.

We have discussed your options, of which there is one, contacting Creative and hoping for the best. I realize the speakers were $170 but in the grand scheme they still are not expensive and not user serviceable. I have a $400 set of M-Audio Monitors - those are serviceable, but only barely.

There is no such thing as an amplifier board you can just go to the store and buy for this. The amplifier board is proprietary for the device, manufactured only by Creative, and only available directly through them.
