Ipgraded a lot but running slower than before

So I've recently upgraded from and Asus m5a97 r2.0 board to a msi 970 gaming board

Had a new 550 watt corsair bronze in and now it's running slower then my other board any reason why even though it's better ? Thanks jord

Just my computer in general but it won't let me change my cpu fan speed which my fan is a 3 pin supposedly a common error for this new motherboard
