Corsair H80i cooling degradation

My H80i cooler appears to have developed a fault. The unit and system are 2 years old and up to now CPU temperatures have been as expected. Recently, CPU temperatures have increased to the point at which the PC will crash. I have also noticed a pulsating buzz coming from the unit, especially at high CPU load. I have found that disconnecting the PC and lying the case on its side for 5 minutes will temporarily resolve the issue. However, CPU temp will steadily increase again over a few days. It seems to get a bit worse every time I restart the system. The system is free of dust and I have checked that the cooler mounting screws are tight. Corsair Link reports that the pump and fans are working, and that the coolant is getting hot.

Does anyone please have an explanation of what is going wrong or what I can try to fix it? I have created a ticket with Corsair support but sadly, they have not responded.

It's likely the pump bearing going out, from what you describe. If it is still under warranty, you should contact Corsair for a replacement. If not, get a replacement cooler soon.

From what I looked up, the H80i has a 2 year warranty, so it could be either under warranty or just past it. You'll have to look up your own records to find that.

Yeah, I figured that the cooler likely needs replacing, thanks for confirming. I just need to figure out the Corsair Hydro naming conventions now, to choose the right one.
