I have an i7 4790k which I cool with a coolermaster v8 gts but I noticed my cpu gets really hot sometimes when under heavy loads (gaming etc). Is this normal and my cooler is a shower and not really effective or what? Btw I have locked much cpu to its normal volts and it won't use more power when under pressure so power is not the reason of the overheating. Any help appreciated in advance.
