Hello,
Just yesterday my wife changed out her motherboard. She put in an ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0.
We both have the same exact identical computer, except I have a SSD and she doesn't.
We have the same Video, Ram, Casing, Fans, etc.
We bought some upgrades of RAM and MOBO on Black Friday. A month or so ago I had already put in my new parts and I have had ZERO issues.
To mention , I use a Corsair H60 liquid cooling. I've been using it for 2 and a half years with no issues. She has the same setup, and has had zero issues up until she replaced her Motherboard.
I have read that the Corsair H60 can be inadequate for the FX-8350 but with my setup I run at 9c on idle and no more than 35-40 on load.
On her's (same setup) , her idle's spike from 29-50c, Opening Firefox raises temps to 60ish. Trying to open AMDOverDrive peaks at 80c right before it shuts down.
In the Bios, her PC will start at 20ish, and constantly raise until computer shuts down.
But when on windows, idle, the computer will seem to spike hot temps but also not shut down until something is opened.
We took the H60 off, cleaned it, blew all the dust out the radiator. Repasted, reseated(did this about 6-7 times). And still nothing. I ran her PC without the CPU in and tested the H60 Cooler and it gets very cold to the touch on the bottom. I did end up ordering another just incase, which should be here tomorrow. But im a bit skeptical if that will fix it or not.
I assumed it could possibly be a RAM issue so I put her old RAM back in. Problem still persists.
The case has 2 fans on the back, 2 on the front, 2 on top, and 1 on the bottom.
Given we have the same exact computer minus two different hard drives, I cannot determine what the problem may be. Any help would be appreciated. System specs are:

Specs:
ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
AMD FX-8350
RipJaws DDR3 16gb Dual Channel
Samsung 500gb HD
7 Fans on Casing
Corsair TX750w Power Supply
Corsair H60 Liquid Cooler
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste

EDIT:
Took out CMOS battery, reset jumper.
On desktop, temp idles were 17-25c. It seemed to be fixed, until 10minutes later I opened Steam then it rose to 80c which then it shut off.

But I am using the same motherboard in my PC, with no overheating issues. We actually had a lesser model motherboard previous to this one, which had no overheating problems.
How come her CPU overheats and mine doesn't?

are we talking about MB temp or CPU temp???
If you it CPU temp. try reinstalling your cpu heatsink with new paste. make sure you don't put too much or too little.
try to have 50/50 push pull fan on your case.
if nothing work you may want to try to turn down the clock speed and lower the Volt of the cpu just to use it.

We noticed it wasn't vibrating, so the pump was most likely out. We replaced it with another Corsair H60 and her idle temps are 5-10 degrees celcius. Thanks everyone for the help and advice.
