Hello there!

For a while i had this problem with me second pc (I've got 2 pc's with the same CPU/Motherboard cause of streaming (streampc/gamepc). When doing things like interneting, downloading, file browsing. Task that are mid perfomences but still let the pc do stuff, Me pc would freeze sometimes, so i decided to fully reinstall my pc, cause i'm already having this problem for 1/2 years but not that bad, but after my reinstall i had it SOO MUCH, i thing in the whole install of my pc it had around 30/40 freezes, how do the freeze look?, webpages stop loading, things like videos stops, applications freeze and i can still use my mouse, but after a while my background freezes the taskbar and i pres ctrl alt delete and after 1/2 min the freeze stops and it opens the ctrl alt delete.

I have this problem on my GamePC,
GamePC Specs:
Case: NZXT S340 Zwart
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P
Processor: AMD FX 8350 Eight-Core
Videocard: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1 TB
CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 412S
RAM 2x Kingston HyperX FURY - DDR3
SSD: KINGSTON SSDNOW V300 120 GB
PSU: CoolerMaster GM Series G650M

In my stream pc i got almost the same specs.
StreamPC Specs:
Case: NZXT S340 Zwart
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P
Processor: AMD FX 8350 Eight-Core
Videocard: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
CPU Cooling: NZXT Kraken x61
RAM: 2x Kingston HyperX FURY - DDR3 8GB
SSD: KINGSTON SSDNOW V300 120 GB
PSU: MS-Tech MS-N450 VALUE
Capture Card: Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro

but on my StreamPC are 0 problems.

When using OpenHardWare Monitor i see 2/3 difference in the computers.
On the StreamPC the GigaByte ITE voltage is 2,904 and on the GamePC(pc with freeze problem) it is 3,120 volt.
In my StreamPC i have a 60GB ssd with a Write Amplification of 2,300 and the data is around 4000/2000 GB.
but on my GamePC the Write Amplication is 1,270 and the data is around 45/36 GB.

Things i've tried

  • Replacing RAM
    Replacing Thermal Paste
    Placing ram in other Slots.
    Defragment the HDD
    Use Windows hdd/ssd error check.
    Use the Chkdsk
Use opera instead of chrome (Cause i tough it was chrome causing it but it wasn't)
Reinstalling Windows 10 several times, with key and without. (Windows iso from Microsoft.)
Disable the PCI Express - Link state power management.
    Bios upgrade.
    Looked at all BIOS Settings,
Installing all current drivers for network etc..
And in the past a lot of things.

NOTE: My GamePC (The one with problems) is slower then my StreamPC, but the GamePC specs are way better, better PSU, bigger SSD, bigger HDD, Way better GPU

The SSD is i thing one of the oldest part together with my HDD.
Everything else has been upgraded/replaced since i bought this PC.

So i would love if someone could help me, i'm a IT me self, and my own opinion goes to the SSD/HDD to blame it on them.

But i would love to here maybe other fixes!

Keep in mind i have my Stream PC(PC without freeze) with the SAME cpu/motherboard so i can test item etc...

Already thanks for ya help!

Solution
You have two of the same system so swap parts between them. First rule out drives by swapping them all around. Then swap all your RAM and see if the problem goes to other system. Swap the GPU's next again if the problem moves with part of the problem. Work it all the way down to the motherboard. You will find your problem by order of elimination.
