150k fps weird noise

Hello,

My name is Mark and i have a question.


I recently bought a gtx 1080 and my dad told me to run a 2003 benchmark so i did that.



At about 150.000fps my gpu was making a weird noise.

Got any ideea why ?

It was probably coil wine.

Most GTX 1080 a very noisy when first purchased. It will dissipate over time. Mine still makes some noise during very particular situations - namely bench marking, something about it makes it whine.

In gaming, even under 100% load, i don't believe i have heard coil whine in months. Just for the first few gaming sessions could i hear it.

It is common among GTX 1080s.

I only get it when benchmarking the very first versions of 2000 . Except for that i tried all the titles at max, that sound is not there.

So yeah .. basically the coil whine appears when i play 2000 benchmarks.
