Solution
No it's not really a good deal for $500 US.

If you built it yourself...

Greetings!

It is an ok build, and you will probably be happy with it, but you can do better for your money. Here is a consideration:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4pQByf

It is USD, which works out to around $850 AUD. The system you are looking at has no operating system and no GPU. In the above consideration I have included both. After you purchase Windows on top of the prebuilt, you are looking at a very slim savings compared to my suggested build, and you would still be without a GPU.

I know you don't need a super computer right now, but if you are wanting to game, you will be happier with a GPU. You could buy the system you are looking at on Ebay and add a GPU later, but it will cost you more in the long run.

Hope this helps!

the system you're looking at:

Video card Integrated Intel® HD Graphics 530 4K Ultra HD HDMI DirectX 12
PSU 600W Gaming Power Supply with 12cm Super-Silent Fan

first off: the integraded Intel HD 530 is nice for browser games and watching videos. it's weaker than a 6 year old dedicated mid range GPU.
secondly: they put a GAMING PSU in. Well, I don't even know what that would mean. what I can tell you is, that they're probably ashamed of what kind of cheap chinese junk they're putting in, thus the tag as "600W Gaming PSU" instead of specifying the unit, as they did with the other parts.
a 2nd strong indicator of that is, that they equipped a 600W unit for a system that won't draw 160W under load.

so what ever they're trying to sell you - don't buy there.
this offer is a piece of junk and may or may not burn your house down depending on how cheap they went with the PSU
even at a lower price range this is wasted money, buying a used PS4 would be better than that.

There is literally nothing about that machine that I would advertise as a gaming machine. The CPU is 4 core skylake, yes, but I'm not a fan of the sub 3ghz versions for gaming. I don't see enough longevity there, might as well spend a bit more for a i5-6600. Or drop down to an i3 in order to spend more on a proper GPU - You have to get a gaming GPU either way. The rest of the system is vague and most likely lowest-end junk. Yeah, I would definitely pass on that system for sure.

its not 500 USD its 500 AUD

I know, but it converts to $500 US. That build is in Aus dollar ^^

If you build it yourself we can come up with a build for you with a graphics card which you NEED for proper gaming.

Then buy used PC with Core 2 Quad and some mid range card like hd7870,hd 7850,gtx550ti, gtx 660, gtx 660ti and u r good to go, cs:go minimum RAM is like 3 GB so 4 GB is enough, all this for under 200$ with 775 socket...

Well, for 775 socket Core 2 Quad is end of the line, but if you are lucky enough you may find Core 2 Extreme CPU;
It is not big problem to resell it as you won't pay it much + you can always transfer GPU,PSU, even RAM if you stay with DDR3 (and if you find MOBO with DDR3 which is great).
Also of used CPU's and Motherboards, I would even suggest LGA 1366 socket, because you have good CPU's there also, and you have option for 24GB of RAM, with i7-92,950,970 CPU which has 4 Cores and 8 Threads so it is very good CPU.

Depends what your budget is, and what parts you already have, but I'd recommend getting an upgradeable system, so start with an i3 or Pentium on a board that'll take up to an i7 so you can upgrade in future. No point getting something that is already top of it's class or it'll be a dead end system if ya get what I mean.

If your plan is gaming you want to focus on your graphics card, so better to get a dual core that'll run a 1050ti than a quad core with a cheaper card that'll be wasted on it.

The thing about card cpu is okay, but why waste much money on pentiums anyway when he can have Core 2 Duo + MOBO + RAM for same money?

Because it's not going to last. He'd have to buy a whole new system to run a better CPU and GPU etc. More expensive in the long run, plus Kaby i3's are a lot newer, hyper-threaded and would give a Core 2 a run for it's money anyway. No point getting more CPU than the graphics card needs either, as it's better to spend the extra on a good GPU. Just my opinion.
