Will my z97 chipset bottleneck a Samsung 960 Pro if using a pci-e to m.2 adapter?

Looks like your MB has 3 Gen.3 PCIe x16 slots so Yes, you will get full speed out of the 960 Pro. However if you have a graphics card the card will throttle down to x8 speed because it will share PCIe lanes with the 960 Pro; but you will not see any difference in graphics performance.

have a similar set-up except I run a "950" Pro with an adapter on a Z97 MB.
