Hello everybody,
So ... recently I decided to upgrade my PC and I bought the new rx 480 graphics card ... it was working perfectly and I played non-stop all day ... I haven't detected any problems ... even the temperature was good ... around 60 degrees ... and on the same day I put it in ... after 6 hours of gaming suddenly the screen froze ... I waited for about 2 minutes ... but it remained frozen ... so I decided to restard the pc .... anyway ... after the restard the motherboard wasn't detecting the graphics card (the on-board intel graphics card was running) ... when i tried to remove it and put in my old graphics card ... the motherboard detected it ... the old graphics card was running ... but when i add the rx 480 it doesn't detect it ... so I was wondering if the rx 480 graphics card ... broke down .. even though I bought it and used it only 1 day .. if someone can share some information about a way to fix it ... i would really appreciate it ... and I don't really think that giving my pc specs ... would help identify the problem ... knowing what my motherboard is ... probably wont fix the graphics card ... anyway ... thnx for your time .. and if you come up with anything ... pls share.

I am using 750w 80+ gold power supply (psu) ... there is definitely enough power ... as for the cable to power the card .... if it wasn't connected I wouldn't have played 6 hours in a roll ... but the question is ... why did it stopped working ? ... the screen froze while i was playing a game and the motherboard stopped detecting the graphics card.

So I tested the graphics card at a friend's pc and it was working ... I guess changing the motherboard will solve the problem ... and that is probably what i will do ... but if someone finds a way to fix it without changing the motherboard ... pls share ..

It's been quite some time since I started this thread ... but I decided it would be best if I tell HOW I solved my problem. Sooo ... I tried updating the bios and other stuff ... but to no avail ... changing the motherboard was the only thing that REALLY helped in the end ... sooo if you have the same problem ... I would consider changing the motherboard.
