I have a 1 year old TP Link AC1750 router and I will get almost entirely random wireless and wired connection drops which require a power cycle of the router to re-establish any network connection. The strange part is the 2.4 GHz signal still broadcasts but no wireless device can connect to it and all wired connections will completely disconnect. I had this problem before with my WRT54G and "upgraded" to the AC1750, but since the problem has persisted I'm at a loss. I did change the AC adapter and added a small UPS to prevent surges and power sags (more common at my residence).

Is there perhaps a non-published limit on the number of devices this router can handle? I counted 7 wireless (at max, normally 5), 1 xbox one (wired), and a wall socket pass through to another computer in the house. So a total of 7 to 9 devices at any point.

Solution
Seems like you've cracked it and you won't be vulnerable extending to 24 hours. My own is set to that, and to expire during the night, so I never have tiat problem.
Thanks for the tip about the Spammer. He won't be coming back here.

If you press your Windows key and R together and into the Run box that shows up, type,
cmd /k ipconfig /all
then hit the Enter key, a Command form opens up with details of the network setup including the length of the Lease.

When does yours expire?

Right now it'll expire today (1/12/2017) around 1:30 AM EST. Wouldnt this only apply to the computer connection to the router? Not necessarily to all devices on the network?

The settings you can see are universal to all the devices connected at the time of the expiry becuase that's the time the DHCP shuts down.

Would your expiry time in the early morning be inconvenient?

One workaround would be to turn off DHCP and give each device a static address.

So I checked on the expiration this morning and it appears that the lease expires every 2 hours. That seems like a very short time period. I'll check again after (in this case, 9:07 AM)

I did check the router's time as well to make sure it wasn't incorrect with where I live. I had an issue a few years ago where this was an issue.

But overall, an early morning time would not be inconvenient. Would it be possible to set a few devices to a static IP and have the rest be assigned?

EDIT: I checked my router's DHCP refresh, it was set at 2 hours... :??:. I'll extend it to 24 hours, but could this make my network susceptible?

It's been awhile since I have played with my network and the signal has not dropped once I set the static IPs to certain machines for the router. I am still leery of what may happen, but so far so good.
