recently upgraded my system over the holidays from an amd A10-5800k to an Intel i5 6600k with a b150m mortar artic motherboard,1 stick of 16Gb ddr4 kingston hyper x, an 800 watt xfx bronze powersupply (can't remember model off the top of my head) and my old R9 390. Performance In every game has seemed to drastically improve UNTIL I move my mouse and character at the same time (if I do either separately performance isn't affected) When I do so I get massive lag spikes from 60 fps down to 1-20 fps. I've opened a gpu monitor and task manager and witnessed no throttling or heat of any kind while the lag spikes occur, my gpu or cpu don't even reach 100% clock. I believe I've installed motherboard drivers correctly -usb drivers which I don't have. At this point I'm desperate because I can't play any game without huge frame drops whenever I move and it ultimately makes games unplayable. The weird thing is I did not have these lag issues when I had my a10-5800k in. Pls help :C P.S gpu drivers are up to date.
P.S.S I'm using the same hard drive that was in before with no changes inbetween upgrade

Didn't mean to vote down its my first time using this site but no clean install. I actually don't have my old windows key or disc so I'm kind of out of luck on that. What do you mean by updating the bios to ca? @Paul nz

The latest BIOS for that mobo is C. A

So you're using your old hdd with the old stuff on it from the AMD??

If you are, bad idea., You'll have probs due to the different chipsets if you dont do a clean install

You may have to buy windows then if you want it on this / or you want it to be stable

I'm going to attempt to refresh gpu drivers first. Would there be any way to remove these old and motherboard drivers manually instead of a clean install for a temporary fix until I can afford windows? I honestly don't know when I'd be able to get a new copy of Windows because I wasn't expecting to need it and used up my budget. As of now this frame drop is literally the only issue I'm experiencing
