Ok, time to build new PC. Old one was fine, still runs perfect. But the wife thinks I need a new one. She wants me to get an Alienware or HP Omen. That same money spent on a desktop will be way better. So I've got a budget of $1,700. I've been on pcpartpicker for 2 weeks now.

I've been reading this forum articles on build. Watching YouTube vids, etc. I just can't decide. Nothing I have seen or read answers my questions fully. I know I could put together a computer for that price. But I like to live on the other side, be different. My current build PC is running an A10-6700 with 16gigs of 2400. I'm not a huge gamer. I love playing but only when I can find time. My main games are World of Tanks, and World of Warships.

On low graphic settings I run over 100fps with dips as low as 85 in WOT. On high I can get 45 as long as their aren't a lot of other players around me. World of warships is my delimma. On low settings I can only get 50 max. I know that's smooth, but if I around to many people I drop in the 20's. Which just sucks. I'm tired of running these on Low. Simple right. Any i5 and a 1050 gpu would make this happen.

I don't want to use another APU. Not going anywhere for desktops. Amazing for laptops. I play those 2 games, internet, just basic stuff, but I'm an impatient person. Lol. I've built FX-9590's, i7-7700k's, dual e5 Xeon's on pcpartpicker. All of which have pro's and cons. Or should I wait for the new Zen chip from AMD and do a build with that? Normally this is an easy thing, given a smaller budget. But there are so many ways I can do this. And the plus side is I can keep the excess money for whatever else I want.... that's the biggest thing.

This is what you PC should have:
1. CPU: i7 or i5 7th gen, or wait for Ryzen like many of us are :)
2. GPU: at least GTX 1060 6gb (you have the money :) )
3. storage: SSD (500GB) + HDD (2TB)
4. motherboard: depends on if want to overclock or not
5. RAM: 16 GB DDR4
6. now you have a lot of cash so I would recommend you gat a good monitor
Something like: 1440p and 75 Hz (maybe 144Hz)
7. other: get a good mechanical keyboard, a gaming mouse and gaming headset

Hope I helped. I can also give you some links or a build on PcPartPicker :)
