I just bought a kabylake i5 7600k. This is for a new rig using a gigabyte ga-z170x-ud3 rev 1.0 mobo. I know I have to update the bios to support kabylake. My question is, after putting everything together, I can still get into the bios to update it, even though cpu won't be supported yet, right?

Solution
unfortunately no, you you can't update the BIOS if you can't get it to boot. the only option i see is to get a cheap skylake CPU like a celeron or pentium so you can get the system to boot to do the update.

its a hard lesson to learn but always make sure to research everything before you buy something expensive like this
