Question about Temperatures for everything...

My question is about running temps during gaming. I can feel the heat coming off of my full tower case, and was wondering if things were getting too hot?

At idle all of my temperatures don't go above 40C, and my CPU sitting at around 13-14C
GPU is around 37-40C and all my motherboard temp readings are less than 35C.

My current set up is as follows:

Gigabyte GA-990FX-GAMING Mobo

16Gb DDR3 2133MHz Corsair Vengeance

AMD FX-8370 Max clock 4.3MHz

Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 SC

According to CPUID my temperatures while playing The Witcher 3 GOTY Edition are:

Under Motherboard:
TMPIN0 - Max of 38C
TMPIN1 - Max of 57C
TMPIN2 - Max of 52C

Under CPU
Max of 54C

Under GPU
Max of 56C

Are these good running temps for my setup? Or do I need to change/fix something in my system to lower the temps? I feel like 57C is a bit high under TMPIN1 but I have no idea what that reading is actually indicating...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Those are just motherboard sensors that may or may not be accurate. I wouldn't pay much attention to those unless they show crazy reading but they dont. All of your temps are perfectly healthy and they could even go higher without you having to worry.

Your GPU is cool. Under 60c is cold by GPU standards.

Heyo Cdahl92

Those temps are totally fine. You should not worry about it.
You can let both the CPU and GPU raise to 80 degrees without any big concerns. Although, don't let them reach 80+ degrees, that's when it starts to get 'dangerous'.

Your temps are fine:

The GTX 1070 is good to go until about 85C.., Your CPU can handle around 100C. These are max temps and would not be good over time - but you are way under those temps and are fine -nothing to worry about

Thank you guys for the fast replies. I have just upgraded my system and got a new case for the big ass 1070 to fit. I went with the Skyline-06-WG full tower with the fans pre-installed for better airflow and cable management.

I was thinking of overclocking the CPU to 4.6-4.8, but when I saw those temps (Before I had a GTX 660 and a FX-6300, and never saw temps like that, so I was a little worried I was frying something

Woah there chief. The AMD FX architecture is good to 62C. You even get it close to 100C and it will fry very ( very ) quickly. AMD processors don't handle heat like Intel processors do and to be honest 100C is where modern Intel processors will throttle not where they're safe. You really might want to educate yourself on safe thermals before administering advice...

Core temps are what's important here. Don't let them go over 62C and you're good.

I unselected that as the best answer because not only is it wrong it's dangerous.
