Im no expert to cooling. But it ok if i have 4 intake and 1 exhaust? I have the fractal define S, and h115i cooler. The radiator i have is front mounted pushing air through as an intake since i have dust filters on top and bottom of case. I also have an intake at the bottom of the case

Should i add another intake fan so there are 3 on the front. or open up a slot top and have another exhaust? Or just keep it as is with 2 front intake, 1 bottom intake and 1 exhaust rear

Solution
^ single front intake / single rear exhaust is normally enough for most systems & is a general rule.

Personally I prefer more intakes than exhausts - front fan filter stifle airflow somewhat so you'll generally get slightly negative case presaure with that layout .

But yes its likely enough , an extra front intake never ever hurts though.

Usually you try to have as many intake fans as exhaust fans.
But to much intake won't hutr you plus the performance from those radiator fans is weaker because the radiator is in their way.
I would say you maybe add another exhaust so you'll have 4-2 then? Am I right?

So, with case cooling you basically have negative pressure (more exhaust then intake), positive pressure (more intake then exhaust) and balanced/neutral (even amount of intake/exhaust)

Positive pressure is usually preferred as there will be less dust, and since heat rise naturally - having intake on front/bottom/side and exhaust as rear and/or top - is the best way to go in my experience.

How are temps at the moment ??

The way you have it should be fine , I'd be loathe to remove the panel & fit a top exhaust - it will be better for airflow but you lose the aesthetics & the noise dampening quality of the case as soon as you do that.

Not sure of the temps currently just built the pc. Was just wondering if i should add an extra fan to my build or not.

Yeah i dont want to remove the top panel either. Was just curious if i only had 1 exhaust to all the intakes, wasnt sure if that would have a negative affect on anything. but from what others said dont think so.

The define s has very good unrestricted airflow as it stand , better than the r4/r5 in that respect as it has no actual drive bays blocking the intakes.

For me personally I'd have the 240mm aio mounted front top 2 mounts (pretty direct horizontal airflow straight to the exhaust),140mm fan intake in the front bottom mount (airflow is far less restricted from the front compared to the case bottom)
Exhaust obviously where you have it.

Yeah think i might do that. Also is it worth buying another fan to put on the bottom? Cus my psu is right beside the mounting holes for the bottom fan and all the psu connector cables pretty much come out from right there and the cables go over like 1/4 of that bottom intake fan. Does that affect the fan a lot like will it cause the fan to overwork itself or anything you think?

ACTUALLY NVM. Lol when you said front bottom i thought you were talking about the very bottom. but i know exactly what you mean by front bottom now like right under the radiator. So no bottom fan at all.

And the aio is 280mm. I dont think another 140mm fan will fit under that radiator at the front will it? If not I could get a 120mm fan that'll be just as good right?

i have 1 intake fan on the front of my gaming PC it used to have 2 intakes but i moved one to the back and made it into an exhaust fan is this a good setup i have neutral pressure because i have an equal amount of intake and exhaust (1 intake on front and 1 exhaust at the rear)
