Just switched from an old xfx 5450 to a cheap 2nd hand asus gtx 750 ti I just picked up. Installed nvidia drivers then I went to uninstall the amd Radeon drivers.

I selected all options to uninstall but as I let it run I noticed it said something about USB drivers being uninstalled. Reset pc after all the amd drivers uninstalled and I can't log in (as I have a password on my login) because the keyboard and mouse are not responding.

Keyboard and mouse BOTH WORK, in BIOS, and in the system repair/recovery utility but even after recovering I still can't use mouse or keyboard.

Please help. Am I going to have to dig out my windows disc and do a reinstall? I really don't want to have to go that far. I don't know how I can solve this.

Just went through that option and it failed to load windows, upon reboot it offered to try and load back into windows or do a start-up repair. It just ran through that and couldn't find any issues. It's worth noting, the mouse and keyboard are working here, just not in windows login screen.

I have stuck the 5450 back in to see if that helped in anyway and it has not. Before any of this, I did a system restore to the one that was listed as 12.05am of today's date, and I did the hardware swap this morning at about 8 am. So that restore point was BEFORE I had uninstalled the AMD drivers. Still stuck on what to do except to try and find an old keyboard. But this should be fixable without it right?
