If I had to choose between gtx 750 ti, gtx 1050 (not ti), and rx 460 what would do the best playing world of warcraft and overwatch at high to ultra settings in high populated areas.

Also have to consider temperature as my build is in an older acer predator case.

gtx 1050 is the best of em
Beats 460 by 50% on WoW
You can check benchmarks over here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1050-ti,4787-5.html
Last charts, show both @ medium and *preset 7* which is somewhat ultra.
I guess it depends on your CPU, since WoW is CPU heavy.
Overwatch charts here:
http://kotaku.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1050-and-1050-ti-review-entry-level-1788257860

The GTX 1050 blitzed the RX 460 in Overwatch, providing 33% more performance at 1080p using the ultra quality settings. Meanwhile, the GTX 1050 Ti was another 12% faster than the vanilla 1050 averaging an impressive 104fps.

The 1050

The 1050 and rx460 have very similar performance, the 1050 is better in most things by 2-15fps where as the rx460 is better at a few things by 2-5fps the 750 Ti is worse than both of them
The 1050 Ti is only $30 more and is worth it for that bit of extra performance, but if you absolutely can't get the Ti for whatever reason the base 1050 is still good

Temperature shouldn't be an issue for any of the cards
