Will this 'upgrade' be a downgrade?

From a A10 5800k, 8GB DDR3 and MSI A78M-E45
to
I3 6100, 16GB DDR4, MSI H110M GAMING

im mainly thinking in terms of CPUs here.

Solution
Definitely an upgrade, my brother did the exact same switch but to 8 gigs of ram instead of 16, and he is very happy with his new build.

You also would be getting a superior upgrade path in terms of CPU if you ever decide you aren't happy with the performance of the i3. You could upgrade to an i7 with that chipset and have top of the line performance.

Yeah i was actually thinking that, if the i3 doesnt quite do it, i could go for an i5 6400 or similar, not sure about i7s very pricey stuff xD
