Hey guys, I have just build a PC but it won't run any games (even league of legends) which my old system will run fine. All games crash when they start but then if I get into them, they have fps drops to at most 40fps.

This is the rig:-

MOBO - Gigabyte 990X-Gaming SLI
CPU - AMD FX-8350
GPU - MSI RX480 Gaming 8Gb
RAM - 8Gb DDR3 2400Mhz Corsair (can't remember model name)
PSU - Aerocool Integrator XT 750W modular.
HDD - Toshiba H200 1TB SSHD.
CPU Cooler - CM Seidon 120V3

It also has NZXT Hue+ lighting (if that makes a difference)

One thing I have noticed, is that, trying to run all the windows updates under the sun, I am getting failed updates on all "Cumulative Update for Windows 10" updates.

I think my drivers are all up to date, but with this windows update not going through, I don't know if any others have failed.

Any help would be mch appreciated.

If it is with all games and Windows is failing to update, my approach would be to try a fresh Windows install, but I am a person that doesn't mind a fresh install now and then. If that isn't an option, have you tried removing the GPU from the equation temporarily and running LoL on integrated graphics? I'm wondering if a recent AMD update affected you somehow.

That CPU has no integrated graphics.

Not sure the update issue is related.

Could be a thermal issue. try non graphical related stress tests. first on the CPU then on the GPU, might identify which is causing the issue.
Is anything overclocked?

If you just built this rig, did you actually do a clean install of Windows for it, or did you transfer or clone the OS drive over? If clean install, is it showing that your copy of windows activated in the settings? Are you actually connected to the network/internet? Wired or wireless connection to network?
