I just assembled a brand new power PC with fresh and brand new USB 3.0 ports.

When charging my Samsung Galaxy smartphone (which uses USB 3.0) through the PC, charge speed is atrociously slow.

What speeds should I expect at maximum performance and does anyone know how I can improve this? Thanks in advance! :)

You could be right about cable, I normally just use the wall charger... I have had S7 Edge for 6 months, it still has not run out of power. I always find a reason I should charge it before 100% is gone.

fast charge: 0-100 in 4 hours
slow charge 0-100 takes about double time or more. expect this is the speed normal USB 3 charges at

The phone is a Galaxy S7. I cannot use the included Adaptive Quick Charge cable, because apparently it only works with the wall charger it came with.
