Can a AM3+ 760 GA 78-LMT Motherboard support a fx8320 processor and a gtx 960 gpu?

Solution
No. You would need the FX-8320e which is the 95w version. I don't know if its produced anymore and not very common.

Honestly if you have a system with that board already your next upgrade shuld be to a new motherboard and CPU. FX is dead and an 8320e is not a huge upgrade. Not worth it.

Got it so ill stick to a fx 6300 then i guess. Side question how would a rig with fx6300 and a gtx 960 compare to a rig that has an intel i3 processor and an AMD RX460 gpu? Would it be better or worse? Sorry new to pc gaming.

The GTX 960 is faster than the RX 460 by a decent amount. The FX-6300 rig should put up better FPS numbers overall, however it may struggle to be smooth against the i3 rig in some games that are CPU bound.

ok good I saw a benchmark for forza 3 which was running on a i3 and rx460 setup. It was at a steady 30fps, which is on par with the xbone. alright good to know
