Why does my GPU not display anything on monitor when connected to HDMI or DVI?

Hi, I recently got an MSI RX 480 Armor Graphics Card, and when it is in the PC connected to my Monitor, via HDMI, the Monitor would say No Signal, and go into sleep mode. I've also tried connecting the GPU to the Monitor using DVI, to no luck; the integrated graphics on my desktop (which is a Dell XPS 8300 and was made in 2011) works though, and I have a 460w PSU, and am thinking of upgrading to a 600 watt PSU, but I don't know if the problem is my psu, or what. My GTX 760 works well on my desktop, in case that info is needed. So my question is: could someone help me on why my GPU will not display anything? I'm new on these sort of things.

Thanks, and sorry for the long post :)

If integrated graphics is enabled your GPU video output is probably disabled. You need to change it in your BIOS. How depends on what board you have because Dell make their own and I doubt theres much info online. Look for something like initial display adapter and change it to PCI/PEG.

It may be that the board wont even run a 480 though.
