Sorry you couldn't understand my reply. Now I have to spend more time on you explaining, which I was trying to avoid. For example your first question. Of course it is compatible with my isp. My problem is not that I can't connect to the internet. If so, I would have stated that. Understand? I am not a dummy as you are implying. Your other questions get the same answer. They are not the problem. Understand? Why would I supply irrelevant details?
You have had no problems with netgear modems, so you are not familiar with their customer service, so any characterization by you is unfounded. Also just because you had no problems with netgear modems, it is a logical fallacy to suppose they don’t have problems. And I too have experience with netgear modems. And I had no problems updating the login id/password. So your (rather arrogant) implication that I don't know what to expect is also irrelevant.
In fact, you sound like a troll for netgear blindly walking thru a script.
You have not been helpful at all. And please, Tom's hardware community: respond only if you can be helpful. I just joined this community and have serious doubts about it. I found a post about this problem in the netgear community forum and it was mindless. I was expecting better from this forum.
