see what one is getting long term support .. for example a z87 extreme 6 is not but the z87 extreme 4 is and still getting later bios and driver update ?
maybe something worth looking at for down the road use between all the z97's
z87 ex 4 bios date -- 3.40--- 4/28/2016
z87 ex 6 latest bios date -- 2.40 8/8/2014
notice the ex4 latest bios gave ''2.Improve PCIE compatibility'' that maybe critical if you try to upgrade to todays latest released graphics cards you don't get with the ex6 ....
anyway something to look at and conceder
