Is it nearing time to get a new system?

Currently, my system is still working just fine. However, I have heard that mobos die sooner than a CPU does, and while I haven't had any issues with my mobo, the system is getting close to 5 years old. Here's the specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3470
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 (bought and installed in late 2014)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0 (also installed late 2014)
RAM: G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-H77-DS3H LGA 1155
Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Black Window Silent ATX Midtower

I'd be keeping the PSU, GPU, and the case, but I know I'd need to get a new CPU, RAM, and Mobo (as well as a copy of Windows). Should I be worried about my mobo dying any time soon? I typically dust the case out every six months or so.

Use it for a few more years, unless you really want the cutting edge pc.

The lifespan of a motherboard varies, but I wouldn't worry about it.

upgrading CPU,MOBO and RAM comes together since newer CPUs use newer chipsets and newer mobos don't support ddr3 RAM so yes, just change that if you feel the need to.Your mobo shouldn't die just out of nowhere but considering it is 5 years old it is time to change it anyway

If its working fine, why replace it ? I would add a SSD if you don't have one and not worry about replacing things. ( a SSD would make the whole system snappy )

I question the info you're received about mobo reliability. My view is that mobo's and CPU's have good long term reliability. The weaker link is the quality of the power supply. A bad voltage spike from the PSU is what fries a mobo/CPU. However, since your relatively recently installed a good quality PSU, I wouldn't be concerned. The other weaker links are mechanical - HDD's and fans. I agree with Niklas above. Get an SSD, it will improve your PC experience - faster startup, faster program launches, etc.
