can I use parallel-usb adaptor to connect iomega zip 100 drive to windows xp pc?

I want to get info out from several zip 100 dics. I have a good drive, power supply and parallel to usb adaptor. but the pc does not recognize the drive. What should I do?

I am not sure. You are sure you have BOTH the drivers for the ZIP drive AND for the parallel to USB cable? Anyways, you should be able to get it working fine with Windows XP, since XP supports ZIP disks (AFAIK, but when I tried using a IDE one before, it wouldn't recognize it)
