Ok, my computer has been emitting a whirring noise, and I narrowed it down to one of my hard drives. I took both of my 3tb toshiba drives out of the fan assembly, and had them run connected to my rig outside the case. There was no whirring noise. I just put both hard drives back into the drive assembly, put the assembly in the case, and now the noise is happening.

I am kind of at a loss as to what I should or can do. Would rubber coated screws affixed to the drives maybe fix this?

What do you guys recommend?

Solution
Did you try it in different places in the case?

There are rubberized grommets for vibration dampening. Try just 2 layers of electrical tape on the sides with the mount holes, punch out the wholes for the screws and mount it...
