Graphics card confusion

I am planning to buy a laptop . I am confused whether to choose from 7th gen i7 and 2gb Nvidia 940mx vs 6 th gen i5 and 4gb Nvidia 940mx. I want to specifically use it for day to day stuffs, gaming etc. Which one would give me a smooth performance? Will the former one be a perfect match for an fhd display?

Wether it's an i5 or i7 which is in the laptop, it's pretty much the same. both (I'm guessing) with 2 cores and 4 threads.
The only real difference would be the clockspeed and some more cache.
Anyway...
If you're planning on playing some more intense game, with loads of eye candy. The 4gb model would be better, although.. I don't know how much gaming performance you could expect of the 940mx.
I'd probably go for the i5 940mx 4gb model.
