I'm seeing "watermarks" that sometimes disappear on the left half of my screen, but it's mostly there. I'm not sure what caused it. I just changed my GPU to GTX 950 6 months ago, could it be going bad this soon? Below is a picture. The windows login screen is where it's most noticable so I'm using that.

Could it also be a monitor problem? I've been using mine for 6+ years now.
Or could it be a temp/dust problem? I haven't turned off my PC for days, though I restarted it a couple of times.

Weird thing is I'm not sure why it disappears and reappearing randomly. Any help would be appreciated.

It seems to happen on all the cards after the 400 range even the new 1070 suffers from it.
A solution near the end was to simply turn down the contrast on your monitor.

I had to look at images to see what difference was... not sure how to describe it which makes it hard to search for.

do those white shapes appear in bios? or in safe mode?

6 months too soon for card to go bad (normally)

what display do you have?

Above the logo (flower picture), there is a vertical line of sort. To the left of it is where it gets distorted. It's not noticable normally, but it does when I watch videos. I'm afraid if it is indeed gpu problem, then it'll get worse from now on. The wierd thing is it disappears sometimes, then come back again. Like right now when I'm trying, it's gone.. But it was there since the post I made until 1m ago. In safe mode it hasn't appeared yet.

Yea it's wierd that it's only the left half of the screen that's problematic. I'm not sure how to solve it since I don't know what the problem is. I'm only using 1 monitor.

Thanks for that link. The poster is having exact problem as mine, and his picture is easier to see. If it's driver issue, I can just wait for an update. Thankfully it's not a hardware issue.
