Did Cisco not patch this vulnerability in these modems?

I found this article

In here are listed vulnerable products, but the list of products that received fixed software is lot shorter.

Does this mean Cisco did not patch vulnerability in those not listed under Fixed Software? Those devices are considered too old to be updated?

That is exactly what end of life means. Same as microsoft is no longer fixing windows xp. At some point a company decides it is not cost effective to provide any more support.

Besides it is not even cisco problem anymore all that equipment and all the liability has been sold. I forget who they sold these products to but they sold the linksys line to belkin.

Cisco will be releasing fixed software versions in an upcoming GA release for the following products:

DPC3008/EPC3008 Cable Modem
DPC/EPC3010 Cable Modem
DPC/EPC3212 VoIP Cable Modem
DPC/EPC 3208 VoIP Cable Modem
DPC3825 and EPC3825 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 Wireless Residential Gateway
DPC3925 and EPC3925 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 Wireless Residential Gateway with EDVA

But that is only 6 products, the vulnerable list has 35 products. Are those then just discarded, while still in use?
