Pc desk case help

I want to build a custom pc desk case

What is the best wood to use?
Is there anything I need to know about wood finishes/ painting
Does it damage pc parts put in them inside the desk?
Would I mount the parts straight to the wood?
And is there anything else I am missing?

Skill are alright tools are low. I'm planing on mainly just using a saw, sandpaper, screws, glue am I missing something?

There have been many PC's built inside desks.
Look at a few, pick one design you like, modify as necessary.

Build it.

The only furniture I have built is a coffe table in school and I have the design and basic tools like a saw and drill but nothing like a router is that a problem?

I'm pretty sure you're going to need more than a saw and some sandpaper.

I don't see what else I will need other than the tools I have. I only need something like a router for the glass to sit on. (I have a drill, different saws, screws, glue, sandpaper, screwdrivers and some other basic tools) that's all I used for my coffe table other than a bag press for curved legs

for the glass you could build a wood frame that will hold it on the desk .
