It is very difficult to know which routers are the most recent ones, if you are a relative newbie like me. So, I am looking for a recent wifi router, best brand, less than $200 that can also take DD-WRT software flashing and then a VPN on top. From what I know so far it should be dual band, up to 1000mbit speed (I have an excellent fast connection). Can anyone help point me to a router that would fit these criteria?
