I am a CS student who is thinking of building a PC with good enough processing power in a tight budget. So I was hoping to get a i5 7500 at around $200. But as I've been seeing the ongoing Ryzen architecture CPU's and their features, I was hoping if we would get a better processor then i5 7500 at that price point ? I mean should I wait for Ryzen desktop cpus to be shipped or should I get going with an i5?

If you have a functional rig right now there is no way I'd build a new one right now. I'm going to build one this year but for the first time in 8 years I'm actually excited to see what AMD has to offer. Very well could drop Intel prices, or just be more affordable from amd

Well, I do have a laptop. But it only has a i5 4210u at 1.7 GHz, the dgpu is a weak r5, and really slows down a lot of my works a lot of time. Anyway, I'm also thinking of waiting a bit longer. Any idea when the new systems might hit the market ?
