I have had my custom built computer for a year with no problems. But recently I upgraded my cpu and RAM from i5 @ 3.3 to i7 @ 3.7/8 and 8gb to 32gb. The problem is my computer crashes, where my monitor goes blank but the sounds are still continueing and I have to turn off my computer. Sometimes when I try turn it back on from crashing it will not switch back on. The system fans start running and oddly I can hear beeps. To get the computer to run again I have to take out the ram and sometimes the cpu for a while.

My graphics card is gtx 970. Thanks

It says 1 beep successful boot
*1 beep refresh failure - (NO VIDEO) (BAD MEMORY)
But I'm not to sure what the star means

Thanks I'm sure everything is compatible, normally I can leave it for a few hours and it will turn back on. So I don't understand why it's unstable. I've also check that's it's not an overheating problem.
Just tryed putting one RAM in and it turned on what shall I do now thanks

I've done all the BIOS updates and stuff. I had the PC running all day today just to crash and not turn back on this evening
And just managed to fix it again by putting one RAM in and starting then turn off and put all back in
And the memtest turned back nothing

So I still have the problem and there's one temporary fix. When it crashes i have to take out all the RAM and put one out of the four in and start the computer then turn it off and put all RAM in. Anyone got any ideas of permanent fixes. Also I don't need to be playing games for it to crash
