So i bought 4 gigabytes of kingston SO-DIMM ram for my acer aspire E1-532g to upgrade to 8 gigabytes, but its only detected in speccy...not in bios or windows...i checked if the slots are working with the ram that came with the laptop and they both worked, i checked the new ram itself on my friends laptop and it worked there just fine. I also updated my bios to the newest version, changed my windowsto 8.1 pro and nothing....i have 64 bit and i can upgrade to 8 gig. please someone help im desperate lol. also i checked the voltage its 1.5v and thats what i need...
Please help, my new ram not detected by bios or windows but detected in speccy.

have you updated your bios? is the ram compatible with your PC?
