Hello,

I am at the stage of chosing between the Noctua D15 and the Dark Rock Pro 3.
i think I have read all the reviews and all the forums on the topic.

Noctua is a better cooler, easier to install where as the be quiet! is quieter

I am indeed attracted by a more quiet cooler, and i would then tend to pick the be quiet!

However, what i would like to understand, is the cooling performance and noise level in the real life context, meaning within a case. I am getting a NZXT Phantom 410 ATX Mid Tower Case.

will the case damp the extra noise from the noctua? is the noise difference really noticeable?

here is the build i am putting together:
Intel Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
MSI Z270 GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Samsung 960 Evo 500GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Western Digital Black 5TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
NZXT Phantom 410 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Thermaltake TR2 500W ATX Power Supply

Thanks for your help
