Can you run 8gb ram in 32 bit windows

I want to buy 4gb ram I have 4gb in pc. total I want to make it 8gb and my windows is 10 32 bit so will 8 gb ram work? I have upgraded it to 64 bit.in properties it shows 64 bit but in cmd (command prompt)it shows x 32 which means it's 32 bit so will it work ??

Download the following free program called Speccy. It will tell you if you have 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 10 installed on your PC.

If it states 32-bit, then do not bother installing anymore RAM because Windows 10 will not recognize it.

You can have as much RAM as you want! Well, at least as much as your motherboard supports. Your (bittage?) Makes absolutely no difference as to how much RAM you can have. Go crazy and buy that extra 4GBs!

Um no. 32 bit windows only supports up to 4 gigs of ram. You can put in as much as you want, but the system will only have access to 4 gigs

Note Sanhil said it shows 64 bit in properties, and how I didn't say it would necessarily work.
