So I have a motherboard that has two 8 pin connectors and i put an 8 pin and a 6 pin into it, and now it won't turn on.

Solution
Maybe. The CPU is what gets power from those plugs. The power delivery and regulation circuitry should have protected it, but that's iffy, depending on the motherboard maker. The memory and cards are powered off completely different circuits, so they should be fine. Drives are obviously completely separate, so they should be fine.

The 6 pin PCIe connectors have the 12V leads on the side with the clip and grounds on the opposite side, while 8 pin ATX power connectors have the 12V leads on the side opposite the clip and the grounds on the clip side. In other words, you sent 12V backwards through 3 leads on your motherboard. Your motherboard is fried. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
