Hello,
I just finished my first build ever. I watched a lot of videos on building PCs and in every one of them the graphics card had at least 8pin connectors leading to them. My graphics card has only a 6pin PCI-E slot. Now, is my graphics card going to get enough power with that? I am not really sure what to expect.
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
Thanks

Yes slightly older graphics cars had eight pin 12v Pci-e power connectors.

Some high end cards required even more power connector point`s up to a eight and a six pin 12v Pci-e power connected to them due to the high wattage demand and amps the older Gpu`s used need when at full gaming work loads.
it was starting to get a bit out of hand.

But the new 10 series of GTX cards require very little power to run them due to more and better GPU designs.
