Hello,
With AMD Zen right around the corner I've decided I want to save up to upgrade to that platform. However, I want to get the most out of my current system now. I have an AMD A8-6600K running at the stock frequency of 3.9 GHz. I have a Cryorig H7 air cooler, as well as 3 system fans (one on the front, back, and top) as well as a GPU (the Asus GTX 1060 ROG Strix OC) that has 3 fans. My question is this: If I overclock my CPU to it's highest frequency (I believe it goes to 4.2 GHz), will there be a performance increase and will it cause any significant damage to my system?
Thanks in advance!
