I have purchased
ASUS H110M-A/M.2 LGA 1151 Micro-ATX Motherboard
intel i5 7500 cpu
and
G.Skill Value 8GB (1x 8GB) DDR4 2133MHz Memory

After setting up the system, I can't get any display and there is no beep sound (the motherboard speaker is install properly since disconnecting the RAM gives beeping sound).

My suspicion is that the motherboard bios(uefi) is not up to date to support the 7 gen intel processer (since the Asus website says "validated since BIOS 3016" for 7gen intel, and "validated since BIOS 0202" for 6 gen intel. reference: https://www.asus.com/au/Motherboards/H110M-A-M-2/HelpDesk_CPU/ )

Can anyone validate my hypothesis, or do I just have faulty hardware?
How can I update BIOS without cpu?

Solution
Your Bios version should be on a sticker on the motherboard. If you find you need to flash the Bios, you will either have to borrow a 6th Gen CPU and reflash it or take it to a local PC shop and have them do it. The third option would be to buy a cheap 6th Gen CPU and use it to flash the Bios if you can't do the other two.

If you do have the correct Bios version, unplug the PSU, remove the CMOS battery and hold the case power button for a minute or two to completely discharge the board. Then replace the battery, plug the PSU back in and try rebooting.

Thank you so much for the reply, I could not find the sicker, however I found a chip printed 1622 on it, can you confirm if that is the bios version? (see image)
