This is a new computer, all new parts (except for RAM) and just put together. When turned on, the monitor does not receive a signal (dvi connected the to GPU), the PSU, front case fans, and the GPU fans spin, but the CPU, CPU fan, and back case fan do not turn on.
I have built around 5-6 computers so I’m mildly experienced. I have gone through all the steps here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems
History:
While building I followed the manual. Nothing unusual really happened. I got confused at one point with some wires for the case fans and accidently connected the front case fans into the PSU twice (there’s two options to connect it to the PSU and I accidently did both options).
The first time I turned on the computer I sort of forget what happened. I’m pretty sure the PSU turned on for like a second and then shut off. After realizing my mistake with the case fans I fixed it and tried again. PSU, front case fans, and GPU all turned on. CPU, CPU fan, and back case fan didn’t turn on.
Things I have already tried (in addition to the above post):
- Taking the whole thing apart and putting it back together again (did this about three times)
- Triple checking everything is plugged in
- Receding the CPU cooler to the CPU
- Trying with a different PSU
- Trying different RAM
- Trying all slots for the RAM (also did this with the different RAM)
Things I’ve noticed:
- I have a lightup mouse. I have connected the 3.0 USB connector to the motherboard and then the mouse to the USB port. The mouse does light up (evidence that the motherboard has power to it?)
- When I turn the PSU on and the computer on, the back case fan and the CPU fan do not turn on. But, when I turn the PSU off in order to turn the computer off, the back case fan and CPU fan turn a tiny bit a second after I turn off the PSU. What does this mean?
- I don’t have enough USB connectors on my motherboard for all of the USB ports my case has, so those extra USB cords just sit inside the case not being connected. Not sure if this is relevant but I thought I would mention it.

I do not have a system speaker btw. Should I invest in getting one to help with troubleshooting?
Any help/suggestions would be great. I can post pictures or any other information if you guys need it.
