Is this dual fan compatible with my 970?

Solution
Hmm, you know... the mounting solutions are the same, you could probably get away with just about any 9 series card that is ded and just move the whole cooling solution over.

You'd have to make sure your VRMs and DIMMs are still getting the same attention, but finding a dead 9x0 might be a good plan too.

both of the fans are missing 2 wings, and I've had this thing for a bit over 2 years now. The wings just broke recently so that's my incentive.

Would that still apply even if I didn't have a warranty? If so then that'd might be my best bet

Unfortunately they had no fans for the model and offered an RMA if I had a standing warranty, which I did not have, my second best option is to look for 3rd party 75-80 mm fans. Do you by chance have a suggestion?

Shoot, sounds like if they still had them they may have sent it, awh well.

Well, given your situation the above may actually work just fine, you'll probably have to get creative with the mounting solution, but its not like hot glue / JB weld / super glue won't hold it on decent enough.

Always been a DIY person so that's possible.

Hey Xavier, what did you do? I have the same issue with my Zotac GeForce® GTX 970 Dual Fan (ZT-90101-10P). I dont know which fan could work with this model.

You didn't mention anything about how this happened. My 970 FTW is covered by their warranty for 3 years. That would mean that I could RMA the card and get a new one. But, that's just a supposition. No idea how those blades broke.

Have you measured the fans?

I think this https://www.amazon.com/GA81S2U-0-38A-Cooler-40x40x40MM-Graphics/dp/B06XRCQK7K is a better option. Check to see the model number matches those on your card.

EDIT: I noticed your warranty issue.

Ultimately I just got two fans that were compatible, bought them from china and they shipped in about 6 days. Though I had to use superglue to mount the fans on. Had them installed since april and everyhting's fine. The obnoxious rattle and whirring the old ones caused due to missing wings finally fell silent.

These weren't exactly an amazing replacement, but they get the job done. Do be careful as they're rather fragile, more so than the OEM model Zotac sends out with the card

Im not entirely sure if the wiring on that fan will work with the PCB connector without some splitting as, or so I think, one of the reviews states. And on my first trial, I bought these models that were connected similarly, only the left one worked. This pair might of been intended for the AMP Omega which may have a different fan header on it's PCB.
