Intel HD graphics taking place of GTX card

Hi,
I just bought an MSI gl62 6QD. The problem I have is that the default card has been set to the Intel HD graphics rather than the GTX 950m. My drivers are up to date. I have also tried going into device manager and disabling the intel graphics whilst leaving the gtx enabled. In geforce control panel I have also set preference to high performance nvidia card in the 3d settings.

When I run DXDiag the display is saying intel hd graphics and the render is saying gtx 950m.

Any ideas on what I can do to make the nvidia card work? (I'm new to laptops as desktops have been more of my thing until recent.)

Solution
Something isn't right, my laptop with a 765m has 7.4 graphics It seems to not be installed correctly or possibly a hardware issue. Download the intel drivers, the nvidia driver from the laptop manufacturer, and the nvidia.com laptop drivers. Uninstall nvidia drivers in add remove programs, then use http://www.guru3d.com/content-page/guru3d-driver-sweeper.html and remove nvidia drivers. Install the intel drivers, then the msi driver, then nvidia over the msi ones. If this does not bring up the graphics score you might have faulty hardware.

Hi,

When I ran with intel enabled the scores were at the highest, this was with nvidia both enabled and disabled.
When i ran with intel disabled and nvidia both enabled and disabled, the scores were lowest.

What could this mean? Does it mean that the nvidia card doesn't work and only the intel one does?
