What Happens if Computer Components Are Too Cramped in Case?

Hello everyone, I recently purchased an EVGA GTX 1060 6GB SC and was looking online at the price of them now in comparison to when I bought it. I then came across the FTW edition of the card realizing that it was only an extra 50 CDN$ and was wondering if it would have been smarter to buy that card, if it was needed, and because of the size of the card to the size my case, what would have happened if the card is too cramped in the case??

Solution
could potentially cause poor air flow which will make your components heat up quicker and to higher temps. This really isn't necessarily a problem but you should keep an eye on your temps. Good cable management will always help!

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Surely you bought the card that fit your needs. There's nothing wrong with the SC. FTW has the dual fans but that's not going to make or break performance. All other things being equal, everything cramped together just means everything will run hotter. How much? Impossible to say. Is it a bad thing? Impossible to say. It depends on the case, the fans, the ambient room temperature, the amount of load on the computer and for how long it's run at that load...all sorts of things. As long as your temps are within acceptable range it doesn't matter.
